Advent: Who is Worthy?

Often, the Church builds high fences to keep "those" kinds of people out of Christian fellowship. This could not be more contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The genealogy of Jesus paints a very different story – one of radical inclusion for even the most unworthy types. Jesus' ancestors include people of questionable background and shocking behavior. It reminds us that God extends grace to everyone – no matter how despicable your conduct. Everyone is worthy of a seat at the Christian family table.
