Grace in Many Faces

Having reflected on the Church as one body in Christ, we now turn to lives through which Christ’s grace becomes visible. Grace is never merely an idea; it takes flesh in people. Through Paul, Dorothy Day, Martin Luther King Jr., and Dietrich Bonhoeffer, we see grace interrupt certainty, awaken mercy, strengthen courageous love, and call the church to place its allegiance in Christ alone

We have this treasure in clay jars,

so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power

belongs to God and does not come from us.
